Hiking Trails to the Rock-cut Church of Rind

The most accessible route to reach the Rock-cut Church of Rind begins from the Kakavadzor area. In the summer of 2024, the Areni Municipality, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and with funding from the European Union, constructed two new hiking trails. The first trail is 2.03 kilometers long, while the second measures 1.81 kilometers.

Both trails are well-suited for beginner hikers. The only section that might present a slight challenge is the final 30 meters approaching the entrance of the Rock-cut Church; this segment has been intentionally left in its natural state to ensure the ancient site remains preserved and undamaged.
