Rind Secondary School

The secondary school of Rind is the cornerstone of the village’s intellectual and cultural life. While early education in the village was initially family-based and private, the first official school records date back to 1916.

History at a Glance: The school has evolved through several stages:

1920s–1930s: A primary school and a “likkayan” (educational point for adults) operated with a handful of students and teachers.

1938–1965: The institution functioned as a seven-year school. Following the massive landslide in the 1960s and the village’s subsequent relocation, the community established a new educational foundation.

1969: The current school building was inaugurated, marking a new era for Rind’s youth.
