NOA

The story of NOA wines began with the vision of Jakob Schuler, founder of Switzerland’s 325-year-old Schuler Winery, and Armenian-American entrepreneur Zack Armen. Their boutique operation in Rind, Vayots Dzor, blends centuries of Swiss winemaking expertise with Armenia’s 6,000-year-old viticultural heritage. The winery is named after the biblical Noah, who is said to have planted the first vineyards in this historic region.

Philosophy and Craftsmanship
Led by winemaker Pavel Vartanyan, the NOA team cultivates indigenous varieties such as Areni, Voskehat, and Khatouni in high-elevation sites. Their commitment to minimal-intervention viticulture ensures that every bottle is a true expression of the local terroir—full of life and resiliency.

Global Recognition and Awards

NOA wines have consistently secured top honors at prestigious international competitions:

  • Concours Mondial de Bruxelles: NOA Red Reserve Areni 2021 was awarded a GOLD medal.
  • IWSC 2025 (Georgia): Competing against nearly 400 wineries, NOA earned:
  • Gold Medal for NOA Areni Red Reserve 2021.
  • Bronze Medal for Late Harvest Natural Sweet Wine 2020.

Mission and Giving Back
Through Storica Wines, co-founded by Zack Armen, NOA acts as a bridge between Armenia and the United States. Through their “Sip to Give” program, the company donates 5% of all membership sales to Armenian charitable causes, supporting the social and economic growth of the homeland.
