Winemaking
Rind is the heart of the winemaking culture in Vayots Dzor, a place where the earth and sun have conspired for centuries to create unique flavors and aromas. The village’s winemaking history is both rich and illustrious; even during the Soviet era, Rind’s wine was highly celebrated, being the preferred choice of artists and prominent political figures. It is well known that the legendary painter Eduard Isabekyan visited Rind every autumn, where he kept his own personalized karas (clay amphora) for wine.
Today, Rind not only honors its traditions but also stands as a pioneer of modern Armenian viticulture. The village is home to world-renowned brands such as Zorah, ARAR, NOA, Meyron, Yacoubian-Hobbs, and SAVAR, alongside talented boutique winemakers whose products are highly sought after both in Armenia and internationally. In this section, you will find detailed information about our wineries, their unique histories, product ranges, and contact information.
